Sales Operations - Scheduling Coordinator

This role is classified as Level 1 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $54,576 - $68,238 pro-rata). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Role

The SBS Media Sales Operations team is seeking a motivated Sales Operations Scheduling Coordinator who is eager to learn the fundamentals of media sales in an entry‑level support role.

This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career in Media Sales. The successful candidate will assist the media sales team by providing sales support, administrative coordination, and managing the delivery of advertising materials.

We have two fixed term contracts available, each for six months.

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide general support to the sales team: this goes from basic administrative duties to making sure all advertising materials/ spots are received and spots booked.
  • Schedule and book TV Advertisement spots across, SBS, SBS Viceland, NITV, SBS World Movies, SBS FOOD and SBS Worldwatch
  • Assist and advise with e-mails from Group Sales Managers, Sales Representatives and their Coordinators.
  • Daily spot booking duties/ Schedule Validation/ Sponsorship adherence/ General Scheduling Duties.
  • Monitor inventory and work in a fantastic team to create an error free on-air environment.
  • Exciting projects include World Cup, Eurovision, Tour De France and new SBS commissions.


About you

We are looking for a team player who is proactive and has a can-do attitude. Ideally the candidate will be able to work autonomously as well as in a team. Ideally, you would have:

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and be keen to learn new software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail (a must).
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, with a polite yet confident demeanour.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities to meet set targets/outcomes.
  • Well-developed customer service skills, with the ability to be flexible and uphold these in a demanding deadline driven environment.
  • A tertiary education is preferred but not necessary.
